揆别雕塑界已久,常年埋头文稿之间,难得有机会去看一次美展。偶尔光顾,也常为其间雕塑作品展出的寥落感到不足和叹惜。至于街头、建筑、广场、园林之间,则更是一片空白,看不到雕塑的影踪,连那令人惆怅的寥落也不可得了。由于众所周知的原因,一个造价数百万元的建筑,尽管经常有惊人的浪费,却难得从牙缝里剔出一吨水泥,几块汉白玉和几米钢筋给雕塑家去进行艺术实践。可是,对于热爱生活、热爱美的艺术家,大自然却比较慷慨,刘万琪不就在弃于地下的这些竹根树蔸上找到了大自然的恩赐么。
