Objective To explore the effect of medium and low intensity noise on the ECG of workers. Methods The blood pressure, blood lipid and electrocardiogram of 150 workers who were exposed to medium and low intensity noises for more than 3 years were analyzed and compared with 600 workers and managers who were non-toxic and harmful to the same unit as the control group. Results The levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and diastolic blood pressure in the contact group and the control group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.01). The incidence of hypertension in the contact group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05), and with the increase of seniority, the incidence increased (P <0.05). Electrocardiogram abnormality rate was not statistically different. Conclusion Operators have long been working under the condition that average noise intensity is lower than the standard of health. There may still be some degree of blood pressure and blood lipid changes.
