Shunde, located in the hinterland of the Pearl River Delta, is home to more than 3,000 home appliance companies of various sizes, including Kelon, Midea, Galanz, Rongsheng, Macro, and Herbalife. In 2000, the output value of home appliance industry in Shunde reached 37 billion yuan, accounting for about 10% of the national total output value, and it has become one of the country’s largest home appliance production bases. In October of the Golden Autumn, the first “China Shunde International Household Appliances Expo” was grandly opened in the just-completed Shunde Exhibition Center. This expo has more prominent features: First, it organizes a large number of home appliance manufacturers, distributors, and accessory suppliers to participate in the exhibition; second, it will exhibit, order, and research.
