糖尿病血管病变的发生发展涉及多个环节。基质金属蛋白酶 (MMPs)在细胞外基质 (ECM)动态平衡、组织重塑、修复等病理生理过程中起重要作用。糖尿病合并血管病变患者循环MMPs水平升高 ,且先于血管病变。在病变血管部位MMPs表达增加 ,提示MMPs在糖尿病血管病变的发生、发展中起重要作用。糖尿病时MMPs的改变与高血糖及胰岛素缺乏有关。应用干预措施降低MMPs产物活性有助于阻抑糖尿病血管病变的发生发展
The occurrence and development of diabetic vascular disease involves many aspects. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) play an important role in the pathophysiology of ECM homeostasis, tissue remodeling and repair. Circulating MMPs are elevated in patients with diabetes mellitus and precede vasculopathy. The expression of MMPs increased in the diseased vessels, suggesting that MMPs play an important role in the development and progression of diabetic vasculopathy. The changes of MMPs in diabetes are related to hyperglycemia and insulin deficiency. Application of interventions to reduce the activity of MMPs products helps to suppress the occurrence and development of diabetic vascular disease
