Euro was officially launched as European currency in 11 new EU countries in 1999. EU took this opportunity to continuously strengthen its own strength and challenge the dominance of the United States in the global capital market. According to IMF statistics, the European capital markets, including stocks, bonds and bank deposits, totaled 27 trillion U.S. dollars, compared with 23 trillion U.S. dollars in the United States and 16 trillion U.S. dollars in Japan. This shows that once the markets of European countries are united, they will become the largest capital market in the world. This article attempts to analyze the impact of the euro’s start-up on the global stock market.
