明末僧读彻苍雪,以滇人入主苏州华山,名重一方。其交游广泛,与丽江土司木增的一段因缘尤为重要,然长期湮没不彰。木增发愿刻印久佚之《华严忏仪》一经,通过结识苍雪、担当以及徐霞客、毛晋等东南僧俗,以得偿愿;苍雪为之奔走最勤,书信往还不断。文中另有发现,徐霞客晚年游历滇黔而致病足,木增派人送其自滇归故里,不独为徐保驾,亦为送《华严忏仪》东来付梓,一举而两得,此亦徐霞客研究界所未及。今考察所存晚明诸僧俗别集、史传、年谱等材料,钩沉苍雪、木增及徐、毛等众人交游、刻经故实。
