I. INTRODUCTION The problem of redeposition of dirt particles to re-contaminate fabrics has drawn increasing attention with the advent of polyester and synthetic fibers. Several new anti-redeposition-enhancing compounds have been developed to incorporate detergent formulations to accommodate changes in wash conditions. These compounds belong to low molecular weight water-soluble polymers and consist of hydrophobic groups (affinity for synthetic fibers) and hydrophilic groups (polyethylene glycol). In this paper, based on the results of adsorption and potentiodynamic measurements, the physico-chemical behavior of poly (ethylene oxide) -polyoxypropylene block copolymer (POE-POP copolymer) at the fiber-water interface was reported. The results are compared with the simulation experiment of polyester fiber deposition in order to discuss the anti-deposition mechanism of these compounds.
