底节最长三寸三分,最短三寸二分,过长音空,过短音窄,西皮适合较短的底节,二簧适合较长的底节。超过三寸三分太多音发闷,太短音薄不厚实。风口长八分至八分半,宽一分半不足,内腔粗的风口可大些。最宽一分八(图21)。底节内空三寸三分,堵头三分,内空三寸。底节的长短超过或不足一分左右都可用,用堵头的长短来调节(图22)。
