2004年、2005年连续两次遭受百年不遇特大洪灾的宣汉县,劳动保障人团结拼搏,迎难而上,不胜不休,围绕中心工作,狠抓三大重点,奋力攻克难点,取得了一个又一个新成绩。近年来,奋力推进就业再就业工作,城镇登记失业率控制在4.6％以内；社会保险覆盖面不断扩大,基金征收率达98％,离退休养老金按时足额发放率、社会化发放率达100％；全力维护职工合法权益,劳动争议案件殛劳动监察案件查处、仲裁按期结案率达100％；努力打造“勤政、廉洁、务实、高效”的班子和高素质职工队伍,精神文明创建结出丰硕成果,树立了劳动保障良好形象,为改革、发展和稳定作出了贡献。
