The achievements made by Chinese Academy of Sciences and Yanshan Petrochemical Corporation on the thermal insulation technology of thermal insulation materials such as rock wool have proved that thermal insulation materials such as rock wool and its products and microporous calcium silicate are used in industrial thermal insulation and energy conservation. On the other hand, the economic benefits are significant and have passed the appraisal some time ago. The insulation pipework of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Yanshan Petrochemical Corporation’s cooperation and reconstruction has reduced the heat loss by 35% and 54% compared with the original cement perlite insulation pipeline; the insulation efficiency before the transformation was 93.31%, and the heat insulation efficiency after the transformation was 96.92% to increase the temperature of the modified pipeline end by 10-15°C
