Oxygen-deficient environment caused by occlusion of the ostium is good for anaerobic infections. There is a report of anaerobic infections of the maxillary sinus in the literature. The authors studied 120 patients aged 8 to 72 years with ethmoid sinus disease, 47 cases of acute ethmoid sinusitis (18 cases of single ethmoid sinusitis, bilateral maxillary sinusitis in 7 cases, unilateral mesh maxillary sinusitis in 17 cases, screening 3 cases of sinusitis, 2 cases of total sinusitis on one side), 73 cases of chronic ethmoid sinusitis (ethmoid sinus on one side)
