The so-called “multimedia teaching” is the combination of a variety of modern teaching media and traditional teaching media. Taking geography teaching as an example, we talk about the role and significance of multimedia teaching in improving teaching quality. 1 Theoretical Basis for Multimedia Teaching We can regard geography classroom teaching as a system. It includes three elements: teachers, students, and the media. As far as the media is concerned, it includes traditional media such as geographical charts, charts and models, and modern teaching media such as slide shows and movies. As far as the role of the media is concerned, there are both transmissions and feedbacks.
