美国独立后,己逐渐形成一种美国英语,它与原来的英国英语在很多地方已不尽相同。本文认为,当前很有必要进一步了解这两种英语之间在拼写、词汇、语音、语调和语法等方面的各种差异。本文还对这两种英语的发展趋势作了论述。由于英、美两国文化背景相似,彼此交往密切,尽管英国英语和美国英语之间有差异,但它们之间的差距正越来越小。因此,我们在学习和使用英语时,应该注意这一点。 After the independence of the United States, it gradually formed a kind of American English, which is different from the original British English in many places. This paper argues that it is necessary at this stage to learn more about the differences between spelling, vocabulary, phonetics, intonation and grammar in these two kinds of English. This article also discusses the development trend of these two kinds of English. Due to the similar cultural backgrounds of both Britain and the United States, they have close contact with each other. Despite the differences between British English and American English, the gap between them is getting smaller and smaller. Therefore, we should pay attention to this when we study and use English.
