One year ago there was great hope that eventually the end of the worst industrial recession since 1930 and metal prices would be greatly increased once the industrial demand started to go back to normal levels. However, waiting in the metal market Rebound did not come. The findings of the October 1982 study of the Financial Times concluded that lack of user demand and slump in the preceding 12 months were the main effects. It is worth mentioning that one year attempted to monopolize the world tin market with a clandestine international agreement. Tin prices peaked in February, but the group found costs rising, and their eventual exit led to a sharp drop in prices. Sixth International
