瑞秋·卡森是现代环境主义运动的肇始人,她的“海洋三部曲”被奉为自然写作的优美经典,《寂静的春天》成为了“改变历史进程”的著作。卡森与好友多萝西·弗雷曼长达12年的来往书信中,“白色风信子花”是一个具有多重意义的隐喻。本文试图从瑞秋·卡森书信集解读出这个隐喻的含义及其与卡森创作轨迹的关系。
Rachel Carson is the founder of the modern environmentalist movement. Her “Trilogy of the Seas” is regarded as the graceful classic of natural writing. “Still Spring” has become the book of “Changing Historical Processes.” Carson and friend Dorothy Freyman In a 12-year correspondence, “White Hyacinth Flower ” is a metaphor with multiple meanings. This paper attempts to interpret the meaning of this metaphor and its relationship with Carson’s creative trajectory from Rachel Carson’s Epistles.
