Clinical studies have shown that weight gain is one of the common side effects of second-generation antipsychotics (SGAs) during treatment. SGAs caused by weight gain significant individual differences, suggesting that this may be genetically related. This article reviews the progress of SGAs induced weight gain and genetic polymorphism.
