文化部艺术局、中国戏剧家协会、中国艺术研究院、北京市文化局、中国国际文化交流中心、北京京剧院、中国戏曲学院、北京军区战友京剧团、中国京剧院等单位,为庆祝著名京剧表演艺术家袁世海舞台生活60年,在北京联合举行演出活动。袁世海在许多著名的京剧演员如方荣翔、杜近芳、张春华、茹元俊、叶少兰、张学津、李光、杨秋玲、梅葆玖、冯志孝、孙岳、吴钰璋、寇春华等等的合作下,于3月5日、7日、9日三天,在人民剧场演出了《群英会、借东风、烧战船、华容道》《龙凤呈祥》《连环套》等剧目。这三场珠联璧合、群星荟萃的精彩演出,引起了极大的轰动,为龙年之首的最受欢迎的一次京剧演出。
