In this paper, the Eh-pH diagram of Ni-S-H_2O system has been calculated and plotted. The electrochemical reactions related to the dissolution of nickel-nickel ore (β-NiS) have been discussed. The kinetics of the anodic dissolution of the nickelite in acidic sodium sulfate solution was investigated. It was found that a stable Ni-deficient sulfide was formed during the anodic dissolution. It was demonstrated that the anodic dissolution of the nickelite was caused by diffusion and mass transfer in the solid phase and charge transfer Step hybrid control of the quasi-reversible electrode process; calculated the anode active dissolution reaction exchange current density and the anode electrochemical reaction rate constant and other kinetic parameters.
