In openhole completions, new tools and new methods are available to improve well cementing performance and reduce the number of drillings when separating the screen from the seamless liner. The text describes three ways to accomplish this completion. All three of these methods use a casing outer packer (ECP) to seal the gap liner or screen. The technology is suitable for a variety of well types, especially horizontal wells.
