Artificially induced tetraploid beet, seed germination and field emergence rate were lower than the original diploid type. The results showed that the rate of abnormal microspores produced by tetraploid beetle meiosis was much larger than that of diploid, and the meiosis tended to be stable compared with that of C 1 generation.
