中国番茄黄化曲叶病毒Y10分离物(TYLCCNV-Y10)能系统侵染本氏烟(Nicotiana benthamiana) 等寄主植物,但不诱导明显的症状,而烟草曲茎病毒Y35分离物(TbCSV-Y35)单独侵染则诱导曲叶等症状.对表达GFP基因的转基因本氏烟接种实验表明,TYLCCNV-Y10不回复已建立的GFP沉默,也不抑制GFP沉默的建立;而TbCSV-Y35能部分回复已建立的沉默,且能在新叶抑制沉默的建立.农杆菌共浸润实验结果表明,TYLCCNV-Y10和TbCSV-Y35的AC2和AC4蛋白都能抑制GFP的局部沉默,并延迟GFP的系统沉默,为RNA沉默的抑制子.比较共浸润区GFP mRNA的积累结果表明,Y10 AC2与Y 35AC2蛋白具有相近的RNA沉默抑制能力,而Y35 AC4蛋白是一个比Y10 AC4蛋白更强的抑制子.因而,TbCSV-Y35和TYLCCNV-Y10致病性差异的原因可能与二者AC4蛋白的功能差异有关.
