They experienced the torture and ensuing pains of the disease, some hovering over the border between life and death, and others losing their precious lives even as a result of their illness. For the patients themselves, this is a difficult journey from health falling into the bottom of disease, through the struggle against illness, and from the edge of life and death. This process is not just a body from damage to recovery process, it is a psychological experience of many feelings and trials of the process.
