服务公众,依靠公众,是博物馆生存和发展的有效途径,我们必须更加深刻地认识博物馆的公益性、非营利性及公众的参与性这些最基本的问题,认识到博物馆永久免费是个大趋势。继公园免费开放热潮之后,许多城市又陆续对一些博物馆实行免费开放,这是维护或者说是恢复公众权利的具体措施。博物馆如何顺应时代变迁、探索未来定位,来满足人们不断提高的文化需求,下面我就谈一谈对免费开放的一点思考。在阐述个人观点之前,我想先从全国博物馆对未成年人实行免费开放,以及几个城市的部分场馆对整个社会或部分社会群体实行免费开放实验后的实际情况谈起。一、全国博物馆对未成年人实行免费开放收到的社会反响从2005年5月1日以后,文化部和国家文物局已联合发出
Serving the public and relying on the public is an effective way for the museum to survive and develop. We must understand more deeply the most basic problems of public welfare, non-profit and public participation in museums, and recognize that the permanent museum free of charge is a general trend.
