In this study, restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs) of low density enzyme protein receptor (LDLR) gene in 47 patients with normal serum lipids and 18 patients with simple hypercholesterolemia were analyzed by PvuII and PatI restriction enzymes The results showed that the relative frequency of P_1 allele in patients with hypercholesterolemia was significantly lower than that of normal blood lipids, which is of reference value for genetic research and prediction of susceptible population of coronary heart disease.
