《書法研究》創刊于1979年,是中國當代第一本書法純學術刊物,她曾為書法學術研究作出過不懈的努力和奮力的鼓呼,後由于多方面原因,于2008年停刊。她曾以“昌明書學研究,培養青年學者”為辦刊方針,構建了創作理論、歷史研究、藝術批評、書法教育等板塊,有力推動三十多年間的書學研究發展。在當今文化大發展大繁榮的國家戰略指引下,書法的學科和理論建設得到了進一步 Calligraphy Research, first published in 1979, is the first purely academic publication of contemporary Chinese calligraphy.
