民国时期，嗜毒者众多，作为国家安全守护者的军人群体尤甚。无论平日还是战时，许多军人均少不了烟毒陪伴。这一不良嗜好不仅是一些军人群体走向衰亡的要因之一，也给国家、人民带来了许多危害。还原民国时期军人与烟毒的关系，对于加强新时期军队建设、提高军人思想道德品质无疑具有一定的借鉴意义。
