Objective: To investigate the significance of urine microalbuminuria in patients with hypertension. Methods: A retrospective analysis of our hospital from January 2009 -2010 in December admitted 108 cases of hypertensive patients and healthy subjects over the same period (control group) 40 cases of clinical data, according to the qualitative urine protein will be classified as positive for hypertension 78 cases and 30 cases negative group, urine microalbumin (MA) levels were measured in both groups. Results: The level of MA in hypertension group was significantly higher than that in control group (P <0.05). The ALB level in positive group was significantly higher than that in negative group (P <0.05). The positive rate of MA in negative group was 36.7%. Conclusion: Microalbuminuria is a sensitive index for diagnosis of early renal damage in hypertension and has certain clinical value.
