I. INTRODUCTION In the mid-20th century, many female writers emerge in the American literary arena as spokespersons of marginalized groups. With their strong sense of political responsibility and mission, they take literary works as a means to pay attention to and describe the living conditions and development directions of minorities Their appearance rewrote the history of American classical literature.
