An American painter living in Japan is so rare that he understands Japan’s culture so extensively that he masters Japanese national watermark technique well, and that his outstanding works have won a high reputation in the Japanese painting circle. The “Kyoto Scenery” color print collection, published by Showa Shokazu in Japan in 1979, is a collection of 177 paintings by painter Kraft from 1963 to 1978, all depicting the scenery of Kyoto.
