An abandoned barn farm in Sonoma County, Northern California, was designed by Mork-Ulnes Architects and converted into a 230m-2 artists’ studio. A few months later, they designed a recreational space next to a restaurant, about 67m2 in size, filled with greenery. Because of its unconventional architectural form, people are dubbed the “amoeba” building. The site of the building is a farm of approximately 12,000m2, filled with plants, sun and fresh air. The farm belongs to a couple of artists who have been working with Mork-Ulnes Architects since 2005 on many of their own farms
