我认识太林兄是在耳熟了他的名字之后。初次见到他,就觉得他身上透着古代文士的气息。对于他的画,我不想用西方的美学理论来诠释,因为那样会坠入不着边际的玄虚中,也不可能详释画中所蕴积的传统内涵。他的画我以前见得较多的是较传统的花鸟画,那是技法的积累和传统的再表现。后来看到他的画,突然没有了那种感觉,满纸是内心的冲动,不计工拙,以笔直抒己意。
