2005年7月21日,又一位乒坛巨星在经历了病魔的肆虐之后陨落了。我们的老对手、老朋友,波兰名将格鲁巴因患癌症久治无效,在波兰北部港口城市索波特的家中溘然离世,享年47岁。在此,我们将本文献给所有喜欢格鲁巴的球迷们,并以此纪念这位英年早逝的乒坛精英。格鲁巴是波兰历史上最杰出的乒乓球运动员,也是上世纪80年代世界乒坛的顶尖高手之一。1988年,格鲁巴在中国武汉举行的第九届世界杯乒乓球赛中荣获男单冠军。一生中,格鲁巴共获得过26个波兰全国冠军,75次代表波兰乒乓球队参加国际比赛。他在欧锦赛和世界杯乒乓球赛中获得过15枚奖牌,3次参加奥运会,并曾连续十几年荣获世界乒坛十佳称号。格鲁巴在1998年退役后一度出任波兰乒乓球协会训练部主任,并在去世前被选为国际乒联执委会委员。
July 21, 2005, another table tennis superstar fell through the wretched after the disease. Our veteran opponent, old friend, Polish star Grubba died of cancer for a long time and died suddenly at the age of 47 in the hometown of Sopot in the northern port city of Poland. Here, we present this article to all fans who like Gruba, and to commemorate the death of the young table tennis elite. Gruba is the most outstanding table tennis player in Polish history and one of the top table-top players in the 1980s in the world. In 1988, Grub won the men’s singles champion in the Ninth World Cup table tennis held in Wuhan, China. Throughout his life, Grupp won a total of 26 Polish national champions, 75 times representing the Polish table tennis team to participate in international competitions. He won 15 medals in the European Championships and the World Cup table tennis tournament, participated in the Olympic Games three times, and won the top ten world table tennis titles for more than ten consecutive years. Grupa, once retired in 1998, once served as head of training for the Polish Table Tennis Association and was elected a member of the ITTF Executive Committee before his death.
