饮食文化是人们建立在最原始的物质基础与后来发展的自然环境互相渗入磨合而成的一种约定俗成的体现物质和精神价值的人文文化,在世界各地都有着举足轻重的地位,我国自古就有“民以食为天”的传统说法。这种文化不仅能够体现各个国家或者地区的物质丰富程度,更能反映一个地方的传统文化底蕴。中西方的饮食文化在中西方不同的地理环境和风俗习惯的长期影响下,形成了各有特色的味道差异和饮食价值观,饮食文化在跨文化交流中也被当做非语言文化的重要组成部分。
