中国全面抗战爆发后,随着远东战局的发展和美日矛盾的激化,美国逐渐加大了援华抗日的力度。如何尽快将美国援华物资运往中国战场,是保障中国持久抗战、实现美国远东战略目标的重要举措。为此,滇缅公路、中国国防物资供应公司和“驼峰”空中运输线等多条美国援华物资国际运输线相继开辟,但因受战局发展进程、经营管理者营私舞弊及美国自身战略利益等诸多因素的制约,运输效果并不理想,美国援华抗日的作用亦因此大打折扣。
After the outbreak of the all-round war of resistance in China, with the development of the fable in the Far East and the intensification of conflicts between the United States and Japan, the United States has gradually stepped up its efforts to help China to resist Japan. How to quickly send U.S. aid to China to the battlefield in China is an important measure to ensure China’s protracted war of resistance and realize the strategic goal of the United States in the Far East. To this end, a number of U.S. international aid lines for U.S. aid to China, including the Burma Road, the Chinese Defense Supplies Company and the “Hump” air transport line, have been opened up one after another. However, due to the development of the war situation, Interest and many other factors, the transport effect is not satisfactory and the U.S. role of aid to China in fighting Japan is greatly reduced.
