OBJECTIVE: To measure the concentrations of MRS metabolites in patients with brain metastases before and after radiotherapy, and to analyze the correlation between changes of each metabolite concentration and volume changes. Methods: Thirty-three patients with brain metastases of lung cancer who underwent craniocerebral X-knife combined with whole brain irradiation were enrolled in this study. All of them were confirmed by pathology. Among them, 12 patients died and did not cooperate due to midway disease. A total of 21 patients were included in this group, squamous cell carcinoma in 6 cases, adenocarcinoma in 10 cases and small cell carcinoma in 5 cases. Eleven cases were single, multiple in 10 cases, a total of 42 lesions. Tumor volume was measured using the 3DSPGR sequence. Results: There was a significant positive correlation between each index and volume with Cho, Cho / Cr, Cho / nCho and volume changes (P <0.05), and the correlation between Cho and volume was the most significant Non-linear correlation. CONCLUSION: The value of Cho in tumor after radiotherapy is an important indicator of tumor metabolism. There is an intrinsic relationship between the change of Cho value and tumor volume.
