改革开放以来,生活水平提高了,一些老年人不满足于老有所养,要进一步追求老有所乐、老有所为。于是出现了一批骑车旅游的老年爱好者。成都体育学院退休干部陈开敏是其中最早的一员。他以一年半的时间,自费骑行2.3万多公里。除台湾港澳外,全国30个省、自治区的土地上,都留下了他的轮迹,被人们誉为成都第一骑。1989年成都老年人骑游协会诞生了。成立后第一次大的活动是七位平均62岁的老人,经历了77天的风风雨雨,骑行3000多公里到达了当时举国瞩目的前沿阵地——老山,自费慰问戍边将士。老山主峰团方团长接过老人们千里外亲手制作的锦旗及成都老龄委的慰问信时,激动地拉着老人们的手说:“你们的慰问真是情真意切”。第二年又有赵忠义等10位老人带着家乡人们的一片关注之情,骑车跋涉3000
