今年长乐县全县人民在党的领导下,掀起了一个绿化歼灭战的热潮,在不失时机,分秒必争的情况下,全县除已种了黑松、马尾松8,971亩外,又狠抓了公路绿化路基整修的运动,成绩较为显著。取得成绩的原因为: 一、领导重视,全面发动长乐县计划在全县公路两旁种植桉树14万株、木麻黄26万株。县委、县人委抓住二月上旬普降喜雨的良机,多次开会研究植树措施,确定由梁继庵副县长挂帅;并吸收林业、交通、养路工区等单位组织公路绿化领导小组。县委副书记陈志忠同志亲自深入公社大队,在泮野大队搞样板路,且召开了有公社社长大队负责同志100余人的现场会,从而鼓舞了群众植树的热情。于2月14～17日的四天中已突击种下桉树10万余株,并已挖好大批木麻黄树穴,等待种植季节到
