本文作者从遗传学的原理出发,对棉花原种的纯度提出了新的标准。即对一些重要的经济性状和生物学特性应要求相对的一致性,而对一些无关紧要的形态特征,则不必强求一致。因为在一个品种内保持一定的遗传异质性对提高棉株的生活力和适应性是有好处的。作者对南、北疆两个主栽的棉花品种,“新海三号”和“新陆早一号”经过多年的观察、研究、分类比较、对该两品种的遗传特性及其表型有了一定的认识,在此基础上,对这两个品种在良种繁育中的选株,选系标准和类型搭配提出新的看法,以供种子部门参考,并与棉花界同志商讨。
Based on the principle of genetics, the authors propose new standards for the purity of cotton seed. That is, some important economic traits and biological characteristics should require relative consistency, but not necessarily unimportant for some unimportant morphological characteristics. Because maintaining a certain degree of genetic heterogeneity within a variety is good for increasing the viability and adaptability of the cotton plant. After years of observation, research, classification and comparison of two main cultivars of cotton variety “Xinhai 3” and “Xinluzao 1” in the southern and northern regions, the authors have analyzed the genetic characteristics and phenotypes of these two cultivars Based on this, we put forward some new ideas about the selection of strains, selection criteria and types of these two varieties in the breeding of elite seed for the reference of the seed department and discuss with the cotton gay community.
