In Japan, the Tokyo Astronomical Observatory is the first to engage in human-space laser ranging work, and the reconstruction of high-precision equipment is under way. In addition, a distance measuring device developed jointly by the Department of Coastal Security, Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Geography of the Ministry of Construction is installed in Luye Shan Geodesic Observatory, National Institute of Geography and Geography, and the distance observation of BE-C is under way. The Department of Waterways conducted day and night observations of Lageos with an accuracy of 5 cm. In March 1982, Japan’s third distance measuring device was installed at Yoshitomo waterway observatory (Nachi Katsura, Wakayama Prefecture). The main indicators of the device are shown in Table 1. The device is equipped with a 17 cm diameter launch telescope and a 60 cm diameter receiver telescope. The working of the laser section is to take a single pulse with a 6 nJ energy from a series of 6.6 ns-spaced mode-locked pulses of a Nd: YAG oscillator using a Pockels cell and then
