六十年代初,武钢焦化厂年产5万多吨沥青。它一般可作炼沥青焦的原料,当时因无销路,暂时露天存放,形成一沥青湖,对环境造成污染。于是考虑将沥青作为高炉喷吹燃料加以利用。于1964年即着手试验研究工作,以期对沥青加热、管道输送、加压、保温,雾化及安全生产等一系列问题得以了解与处理。在1966年3月开始在高炉作生产试验性喷吹,直到年底。试生产的结果,证明沥青可以作为高炉喷吹燃料。今将这方面工作情况简要介绍于下。一、沥青的理化性能及其喷吹特性
