Small doses of mice were pre-irradiated, and then received high-dose X-ray irradiation 3 to 6 hours later to observe the antagonism of low-dose radiation on large doses of injury. Experimental results show that: after pre-irradiation 0.01Gy, chromosome aberration as the end point of observation, the bone marrow cells and primary spermatocytes chromosomal aberrations were lower than simple high-dose group (p <0.01). Male rats pre-0.05Gy X-ray treatment 6h after systemic irradiation with 2.0Gy X-ray, within 9 weeks of fertility was significantly higher than high-dose group (p <0.01). It shows that low-dose ionizing radiation can not only reduce the damage of genetic material in mice, but also increase the fertility of irradiated mice.
