我厂原拥有两座100m~3高炉,采用通用设计70版图纸,于1971年6月份建成炼铁系统,形成年产生铁能力10万吨以上。由于客观历史原因,一代高炉炉龄仅4—5年的时间,一代产铁量约22万吨。1号高炉于1976年停炉直至大修扩容,由重庆钢铁设计院承担高炉本体的设计,因资金不足,热风炉改造没有同步进行,而是用分段实施的办法来解决资金困难问题,先上高炉后改造热风炉。根据1号高炉实际情况,对热风总管,除尘器等金属构件的测定结果,作了保留。高炉基础,卷扬机房等部分建筑设施加以利用外,其他都推倒重来。
