Before describing the construction of ore in Earth’s history, we must consider the major events upon which the geological division of geology is now based. The Earth’s age is calculated at 4.6 billion years with an error of less than 50 million years. At present, we are still ignorant of the first 600 million years of Earth’s history. It has recently been confirmed that in Greenland, the east coast of the Labrador, Minnesota and South Africa have the remains of the oldest primitive continent about 4 billion years ago. In the geochronology of Figure 1, the triangles represent the major tectonic-magmatic cycle in Earth’s history as determined by the method of absolute geochronology. The shaded triangle represents the first geologic chronology of 1966
