根据爆破应力的传播和作用原理，分析了分层炮采面顶板（顶煤）破碎机理；利用放炮前后支柱载荷变化规律，研究分析了顶板（顶煤）活动规律，为现场工作人员提供了安全管理的依据。实践证明，利用支柱载荷变化判断爆破效果是一种简单实用的测试和分析方法。
