Dialog text occupies 80% of the entire text. There is no introduction of characters in the whole novel, the dialogue is used throughout and the characters are successfully modeled through dialogue. The conversational meaning of pragmatics has obvious manifestation in this work. Through the analysis of conversational implicature theory in pragmatics, this essay expounds the theme of this short story hidden behind the subtle and obscure conversations, with the purpose of broadening the practical application of the theory of cooperation and enhancing the creative ability of the conception of dialogue.
