随着市间快车(ICE)在汉堡和慕尼黑之间运营正常化,在慕尼黑车辆配属站附近,安装了一套新的机车车辆清洗设备。现存设备无法容纳整列快车的车体,而且易受气候的影响。新设备为通道式,长212m、宽6 m。在设置清洗刷的地方,宽度增加到8m。在新设备南端,有一个附属建筑物,70m(229英呎)长、4m(13英尺)宽,配有控制装置,水处理设备和仓库。为了节省空间,有些作业则是在地坑里进行。清洗后的水的回收率已经很高,约为57%～72%。
With the normalization of inter-city express (ICE) operations in Hamburg and Munich, a new set of rolling stock washer equipment was installed near the Munich-affiliated station. Existing equipment can not accommodate the body of an express train and is vulnerable to the effects of the weather. The new device is a tunnel, 212m long and 6m wide. Where the cleaning brush is set, the width is increased to 8m. At the southern end of the new facility, there is an annex, 70m (229 feet) long and 4m (13 feet) wide, with controls, water treatment equipment and a warehouse.
