Whether it is the upcoming grand development of the western region or the accession to the WTO, it is undoubtedly a golden opportunity for Xinjiang’s ecological environment, especially the grassland ecological environment. The crux of the issue lies in how the Central Government’s strategic thinking on developing special agriculture, water-irrigated agriculture, ecological agriculture and returning farmland to forestry by emancipating the mind, changing concepts and concrete practical measures that take practical ecological protection as the starting point
