大足石刻以宗教为题材,因此,其形式本身的宗教意味肯定是不言而喻的。本文在这里所要关注的,当然不是,至少不仅仅是就佛教的宗教题材去探讨其宗教价值,相反则是要穿越佛教这一宗教题材去探寻它的世俗化审美与其人类学特征,进一步探索大足石刻由宗教题材转向世俗化审美造型的典型做法。在以往的历史文化研究中,我们总是习惯于以单一的社会历史分析视角去看待眼前
