收视率导向之所以值得批判的原因在于:收视率导向将收视率强调到了对节目的去留具有决定性影响的地步,使收视率从测量节目的手段变成了节目存在的目的。商业逻辑置入文化领域,收视率掌控传媒文化,在这个过程中,文化同商品等同,公民同消费者混一,消费能力代替文化品位,受众的文化选择遭到了极大的限制。与其说收视率是规范的民主,倒不如说是金钱的暴政或群氓的狂欢。
