在宫廷御用纸的品种方面,清乾隆年间生产出刻花透光笺,这是当时较为新颖的时尚。它的出现实质上是历代砑花纸的派生,比砑花纸制造便利,比砑花纸的暗纹形象更为清晰,十分引人注目。从传世的作品来分析,大都是乾隆前后所生产。刻花透光笺系三层宣纸所成,中间层是用刀刻剔出各种人物、花卉、山水等图案,然后两面各用一层纸封合而成。笔者几十年前曾在申城见到不少此类物品,印象颇深。其中“二龙戏珠刻花透光笺”和
